How to access the database-old

CEPE members

All CEPE members (direct and affiliated) are eligible to have access to the CEPE LCI databases.

In order to get access to the database, two conditions must be met: being a CEPE member and having an EcoInvent license (version 2 or above). Please be aware that for each additional copy of the CEPE database used within a given company, an EcoInvent license is needed (use in parallel).

To have access to the CEPE LCI databases, click on following link to send an e-mail to the Administrator.

Once the CEPE membership and the validity of the EcoInvent license checked, the member will get access to the databases.

Consultants

Consultants that are not CEPE members cannot have their own access to the CEPE LCI databases. If they have been asked by a CEPE member to work with the CEPE LCI databases, the following steps should be taken.

Step 1 – access conditions

Once the CEPE membership and the validity of the EcoInvent license (either for the member company or the consultancy) checked, the member and the consultancy will receive a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Step 2 – Non disclosure agreement

Once the non-disclosure agreement has been signed by the three parties (CEPE, the member company, the consultancy), access to the LCI databases will be given either to the member company or directly to the consultancy.

Consultants that are not CEPE members cannot have their own access to the CEPE LCI databases. If they have been asked by a CEPE member to work with the CEPE LCI databases, the following steps should be taken.

Step 2 – Non disclosure agreement

Once the non-disclosure agreement has been signed by the three parties (CEPE, the member company, the consultancy), access to the LCI databases will be given either to the member company or directly to the consultancy.

To access the datasets, the requesting company need to fulfill the following criteria:

  • Must be member of CEPE or a member of national association network of CEPE
  • Need to have a valid Ecoinvent license, user must specify the following information when requesting access.

Please be aware that One Click LCA users need to verify the details above and establish a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with CEPE.

Once the user has submitted the above details, the following steps will be taken:

  1. Ecoinvent will validate if the requesting company/user has a valid Ecoinvent license.
  2. CEPE will confirm the company’s membership status, either as a direct member or through a national association.
  3. CEPE will then reach out to the user to arrange the NDA, whether it’s a 2nd or 3rd party agreement, depending on the provided information.
  4. After the NDA is signed, the user will receive the credentials to download the datasets from the CEPE workplace.
